We have to start working closely with the Sheriff’s office to start reducing the number of traffic incidences on our roadways. I personally feel the number of accidents is way too high and needs to be addressed. It’s time to start issuing more traffic violations to slow people down, adhere to traffic signals, and stop texting and driving.

Crime has always been in our world, but not so much on Hilton Head. We felt a little safer being here, and we are to some extent, but it is becoming more and more prevalent. Obviously our numbers are not as high as the national average, but if we pay attention to what has been happening on our island, that not everyone hears about, you’ll see crime is on the rise. I want to work closely with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s office to reduce the crime on our island. I want to get the Sheriff’s office working more closely with all of our communities to be sure everyone has their eyes and ears open to protect each other.
