Growth Management

We are experiencing major growth on our island and in our county as a whole. It is impacting everything from roadways to schools, from traffic to public safety. We need to be sure our local and county governments are working together to have strategic plans in place to manage growth better. Too often we see variances given or projects approved by the county that put our natural resources and the enjoyment of living in this area at risk. While respecting property owner rights, we can work together to find ways to protect natural spaces, avoid poor planning, and make better decisions for all stakeholders. We have to get ahead of the growth because right now it’s getting ahead of us.
